illness in the house

this morning as I was helping Stella overcome a coughing spell, and listining to the sound of my wife clear her plugged lungs, I thought, this is the type of moment when our heavenly Father jus wants us to simply turn to him and ask for healing and help. A sick home is not an uncommon thing around the Chistmas Holiday's, which is why we so quickly make the mistake of not looking to God for help.

More of Him, less of me

So here I am back in the States for the next week and 5 days. And today was struck again with the overwhelmedness of what God has done with us in the last 4 years.
As someone who depends of the support of others I often find myself in the position of feeling like I have to sell myself and talk about how amazing I am. Don't think, cuz it's not, that my supporters make me feel this, they don't their great, it's just the nature of the job.
So for this trip I hope that people see first, how amazing God is and how clearly He is the one at work in Re:Hope. And second how awesome the team that he has raised up and appointed for this time to serve in Glasgow - me included!
Less of me, more of Him!

Once a year or so...

I am bad.
I should do this more, right?
So we have been good here in Glasgow. Adjustment back has been slow, but it's coming along none the less. Some of the things that I had on my "non work" to do list when I got back here was:
To get my UK driving license.
To have our car repaired.

I have et to pass my practical Uk driving test - man it is hard!!!
And even worse I found out today that our car is doomed - seems that the computer in it is done and can't be repaired for less then the car is worth (insert bad words here!)

Please pray for us as all this costs us lots of money. We are pretty thin in the area of our finances these days so your prayers are very appreciated. Thanks
